Theological Education
Raising literate, Christ-centered leaders from the ground up.
What We Do
The Theological Education Unit is the foundation of Hillcross Ministry’s work. Its goal is simple but far-reaching: to lift children and young people of the less privileged from a state of illiteracy into literacy, while leading them to know Jesus Christ as their only Lord and Saviour.
In a region where many children grow up without access to sound biblical instruction — or without access to education at all — this Unit exists to close that gap, ameliorating the social status of the children we serve while grounding them firmly in the Word of God.
How It Works
Theological education at Hillcross Ministry is delivered through the Hillcross Online School, which runs Diploma and Degree programmes in Pastoral and Christian Education. Over four years, students study:
- Bible Survey, the Pentateuch, the Historical and Prophetic Books, and the Life of Christ
- Evangelism and Discipleship, Biblical Theology of Missions, and Church Planting
- Biblical Doctrine, Hermeneutics, and Biblical Languages (Greek and Hebrew)
- Christian Home, Principles of Counseling, and Pastoral Theology
- Church History, Church Administration, and Pastoral Leadership
Why It Matters
It is pertinent to state that every function of Hillcross Ministry is Bible based, run entirely on biblical principles. This Unit exists to ensure that the next generation of pastors, teachers, and leaders raised out of the less privileged of our society are equipped not only to read and write, but to rightly divide the Word of Truth.
